<p>The Department’s Cycling and Walking Investment Strategy Active Travel Investment model estimates that a minimum of £5.5 billion is likely to be required to meet this objective.</p><p>The actual amount will depend on a wide variety of factors including the highly uncertain long-term impact of the pandemic on walking and cycling stages.</p>
