This has been underpinned with £883m of dedicated funding to help local authorities develop and implement local NO2 air quality plans and support those affected by these plans. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 15/07/2021 answer text <p>HMRC have to balance processing repayment claims quickly with protecting the public purse from incorrect or fraudulent claims. In order to do this they undertake a number of automated and manual checks. Currently, owing to the effects of COVID-19 and the introduction of various Government schemes to support taxpayers, HMRC are seeing an increase in the number of repayment claims within the Self-Assessment system. HMRC aim to provide a fair and consistent service to all taxpayers while prioritising the most vulnerable where appropriate.
