UK officials routinely discuss funding streams with their counterparts in the Overseas Territories which are eligible to receive UK Official Development Assistance. Most recently, the Foreign Secretary did so in a meeting with his Chinese counterpart on 20 September. The UK also continues to lead wider international efforts to pressure China to change its behaviour. The Prime Minister, whilst Foreign Secretary, raised this matter with the Indian External Affairs Minister during her visit to India in March. We continue to work closely with the GoI on this issue, while respecting it is for them to determine the types and validity of the visas it offers. British nationals can continue to use the GoI's regular/paper visa application services for all visa categories. In the case of Bermuda, the Cannabis Licensing Bill 2022 was reserved, and assent was not granted. In the British Virgin Islands (BVI) assent was reserved to the following legislation; the Drugs (Prevention of Misuse) Amendment Bill 2020 and the Cannabis Licensing Bill 2020. The UK has since increased its diplomatic presence in the region; examples include the opening of a new High Commission in Tonga (May 2021) and the official opening of the British High Commission in the Maldives (February 2022).</p><p>The UK's increased focus on the region is a whole of Government effort with many departments supporting roles at posts in the region. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 11/10/2022 answer text <p>Overseas Representatives from over 190 countries and territories confirmed attendance at the State Funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on 19 September. This included Heads of State, Heads of Government and Heads of Diplomatic Missions accredited to the Court of St. James's. From the Asia/Pacific region, invitations were not extended to Afghanistan, Russia or Myanmar. Attendees were changing up to, and including, the day of the State Funeral.
