answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/03/2019 answer text <p>There should be zero tolerance for disruptive passenger behaviour on flights, whether or not it is caused by excessive alcohol consumption.</p><p>The Government welcomes the industry’s approach to this issue through the UK Aviation Industry Code of Practice on Disruptive Passengers, with initiatives such as the ‘One Too Many’ campaign to raise awareness of the penalties of drunken behaviour, and the introduction of tamper-proof bags for duty free alcohol sales.</p><p>However, the Government also continues to work with the Civil Aviation Authority, airports and airlines to find other ways to tackle this problem, as part of its consultation on the new UK Aviation 2050 Strategy. The Home Office launched a Call for Evidence on 1 November 2018 to assess the impact which the Licensing Act 2003 could have on reducing alcohol-related passenger disruptions if applied to airside premises at international airports in England and Wales. The Call for Evidence closed on 1 February, and the responses are currently being analysed. This means current and prospective electric vehicle drivers being able to easily locate and access chargepoints that are affordable and secure.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has a number of different grant schemes to support infrastructure roll-out including the Government’s £4.5 million On-street Residential Chargepoint Scheme which assists local authorities with the installation of chargepoints in residential areas. Motorists and businesses can receive grants for chargepoint installation through the Electric Vehicle Homecharge Scheme and the Workplace Chargepoint Scheme. Government is investing £20 million to deliver dedicated chargepoints for electric taxis and £14.2 million for bus recharging and refuelling under the Ultra-Low Emission Bus Scheme.</p><p> </p><p>The Government is also providing £40m through the Go Ultra Low City scheme which will see infrastructure installed in Bristol, London, Milton Keynes Nottingham Dundee, Oxford, York and the North East region and the Charging Infrastructure Investment Fund is made up of £200m new Government investment matched by £200m private investors and will accelerate the roll-out of charging infrastructure.</p> answering member constituency Hereford and South Herefordshire answering member printed Jesse Norman question first answered 19/03/2019 12:10:01 answering member 3991 label Biography information for Jesse Norman

This includes the appointment of a competent authority in relation to the operating restrictions.</p><p> </p><p>A competent authority’s role relates to the operating restriction itself and is not bound by geography. The Government’s implementation of this Regulation for Scotland, The Airports (Noise-Related Operating Restrictions) (Scotland) Regulations 2019, laid before Parliament has been brought forward by the UK Government because this is a reserved matter in relation to Scotland.
