In December last year the Government updated the Government Buying Standards for transport to include this new commitment. The Office for Low Emission Vehicles is also providing guidance to public sector fleet managers. The NDA decided to settle as the costs – ultimately borne by the taxpayer – had the potential to rise much further had the case gone to trial.
