answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 28/06/2017 answer text <p>The funding for schemes follows fiscal year cycles and accordingly spend is defined by year 2017/18 2018/19 etc. Additionally, these figures are forecasts and as such they are not are sub divided by county boundaries at the current time.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>Current forecast spend for the A38 within Devon and Cornwall is:</p><p>2017/18 - £17,367,440</p><p>2018/19 - £12,366,121</p><p>2019/20 - £11,900,162</p><p> </p><p>The forecast yearly spending figures for the A38 may be subject to change and regional prioritisation but could include schemes on bridge joint replacement, carriageway improvements and drainage works. The NSSG reports up to the Nuclear Industry Council which I co-chair, and Nuclear Industry Association Chair, John Hutton, which will be considering skills initiatives as a key pillar of the developing Industrial Strategy. The pipeline of future scientists and engineers needed for the sector is being strengthened through national Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education as well as Government-backed skills initiatives such as the Apprenticeship Levy and the National College for Nuclear. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 24/04/2017 answer text <p>Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) issues are the responsibility of the Clean Electricity Directorate in the Department.</p><p>Since 2015, the Government has allocated up to approximately £11 million on a range of carbon capture projects supporting research and development in CO<sub>2</sub> storage, carbon capture technologies and CCS feasibility studies.</p><p>The following current projects will be completed in 2017:</p><ul><li><em>Assessing the potential of CO2 utilisation in the UK. </em>Contract value: £75,000;</li><li><em>CO2 transport and storage: review of business models (Phase 1). </em>Contract value: £20,000;</li><li><em>Assessing the cost reduction potential and competitiveness of novel (next generation) UK carbon capture technology. </em>Contract Value: £225,000.</li></ul><p> </p><p>Additionally, the Government Energy Entrepreneurs Fund has funded approximately £1.6 million in support to innovative carbon capture technologies. Phase 5 of this Fund opened on 30 October 2016 with a budget of up to £9 million, which CCS projects were able to apply for. Phase 5 is currently going through the project selection process and the winners will be announced in due course.
