answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 17/01/2017 answer text <p>Large energy suppliers reported that a total of approximately 2,200 electricity and gas smart meters were replaced with a new smart meter when they gained a customer with a smart meter over the period from 1 January 2014 to 31 December 2015.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>SMETS1 meters comply with suppliers’ roll-out obligations and do not need to be replaced.
