<p>Following a European Court of Justice ruling, the use of gender to calculate car insurance premiums ended in December 2012.</p><p>HM Treasury is undertaking a statutory post-implementation review of the SI implementing this ban on the use of gender in insurance pricing. This will be published in due course.</p>
