The UK is one of the most connected countries in the world both domestically and internationally and this is testament to a thriving aviation industry. The Government believes that air passengers are best served by a commercial airline market which is able to operate in a competitive environment. answer text <p>A <strong>certificated </strong>aerodrome is one that falls within the scope of Commission Regulation (EU) No 139/2014. Aerodromes fall within the scope of this Regulation if they are open to public use; serve commercial air transport; operate using instrument flight procedures; and have a paved runway of 800 metres or above.</p><p> </p><p>An aerodrome outside of the scope of Commission Regulation (EU) No 139/2014 is required to be<strong> licensed</strong> if it meets the criteria outlined in Part 8 of the Air Navigation Order 2016. Such an aerodrome is required to hold a national licence if it is used for commercial air transport or flying training in aircraft above a specified weight.</p><p> </p> more like this
