At the end of 2016 the Government consulted on proposed amendments to the Motor Fuel (Road Vehicle and Mobile Machinery) Greenhouse Gas Emissions Reporting Regulations. These included proposals to enable licensed electricity suppliers to contribute to our greenhouse gas reduction targets, and to receive Greenhouse Gas credits. We have consulted E-serve and other key stakeholders on the proposals and their implementation, and will be publishing a government response in due course.
