BEIS Ministers and officials received a number of representations on a range of issues in the last 12 months. We are disappointed by the announcements of some companies of price rises when customers on standard variable tariffs are already paying more than they need to. We expect energy supply companies to treat all their customers fairly and have made it clear that, wherever markets are not working for consumers, there can be a role for Government in ensuring that they do.
