The Department is constantly looking to build on the UK’s excellent national road safety record. The Department is working at European and international levels on various measures such as improving driver vision through mirrors and cameras. The Department’s “British Road Safety Statement” published in December 2015 also sets out measures to further improve safety of all road users.
