<p>Government is taking new powers through the Automated and Electric Vehicles Bill to improve the provision of electric vehicle infrastructure. These proposals include powers to regulate technical standards of infrastructure to ensure easy compatibility with vehicles, to ensure availability of data on chargepoint locations and availability, and to require provision at motorway service areas and large fuel retailers.</p>
