<p>The Department is considering the UK’s future participation in the EU Emissions Trading System as part of delivering a wider settlement that is in the best interests of the UK, including those sectors directly involved in the System. There are a wide range of issues and options to consider, and we are assessing these carefully and in consultation with stakeholders.</p>
