answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 06/06/2018 answer text <p>Last month the Prime Minister, set out a mission to put the UK at the forefront of the design and manufacturing of zero emission vehicles and for all new cars and vans to be effectively zero emission by 2040. Ministers and officials hold regular discussions with the automotive industry and those representing dealerships on promoting the sale of electric and other ultra-low emission vehicles. It includes a combination of quantitative and qualitative methods, building on the network that was published in the Rees Jeffrey Road Fund Report (October 2016). The network in the Rees Jeffrey Road Fund Report was based on the road network as of 6th April 2017 and traffic levels in 2014. The official statistics for the past three years for which data is available show that the number of households living in fuel poverty has remained relatively stable.</p><p> </p><p>There were 2.36 million households living in fuel poverty in England in 2012, this fell slightly to 2.35 million households in 2013, then increased to 2.38 million households in 2014.</p><p> </p><p>We believe the most sustainable way to address fuel poverty is by improving the energy efficiency of homes occupied by those living in fuel poverty.
