answer text <p>We are carefully considering the recommendations contained in Charles Hendry’s recent report on tidal lagoons. Any decisions arising from the Review, including whether to proceed with the Swansea Bay project, will need to balance the priorities of security of supply, affordability and meeting our climate change obligations. We need to consider what is in the best interests of the energy consumer and taxpayer in the long term. We will respond to the Hendry review in due course.</p> more like this

To the end of February 2017, members have been paid a total of £75,656 for their work on the Committee. answer text <p>The Department estimates that around 520,000 homes (or 260,000 per year) will be treated with 365,000 insulated, between April 2015 and the end of the current stage of ECO (in March 2017). An additional 545,000 homes (or over 360,000 a year) will be treated, with around 500,000 insulated, during the 18 month ECO extension (running between April 2017 and September 2018).</p><p>Estimates for the number of homes insulated in the period post September 2018 will be published alongside the consultation later this year.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The targets under the current obligation are:</p><ul><li>Carbon Emission Reduction Obligation – 12.4 MtCO<sub>2</sub></li><li>Carbon Savings Communities Obligation – 6 MtCO<sub>2</sub></li><li>Affordable Warmth - £3.7bn of notional lifetime bill savings</li></ul><p> </p><p>These must be met by March 2017.
