The findings were that thermal screening would be of limited benefit and that it was not the best use of public health resource. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 25/06/2020 answer text <p>The variation in incidence and mortality rates between national, regional and upper tier local authority level is influenced by a range of factors including the epidemiology of the disease and risk factors such as demography and behaviour. Other local factors causing variability in the number of tests carried out can also affect the observed mortality rates. These factors include the number of people accessing testing, and the number of tests that are carried out in the investigation and control of local incidents and outbreaks.</p><p>Public Health England has published a rapid review to better understand how different factors such as ethnicity, deprivation, age, gender and obesity can impact on how people are affected by COVID-19. At the time of writing the current range is estimated to be 0.7-0.9 and is based on latest data available to determine infection and transmission rates. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 09/06/2020 answer text <p>Information on the number of people aged over 70 with no underlying health conditions who have needed hospital or intensive care unit treatment as a result of COVID-19 is not held in the format requested.</p><p>The Office for National Statistics (ONS) provides monthly data on deaths involving the COVID-19, by age and pre-existing health conditions. These figures include deaths where COVID-19 or suspected COVID-19 was mentioned anywhere on the death certificate. For age group 70 and over, 2,445 deaths that occurred in March and April 2020 had no pre-existing health conditions.
