<p>We are committed through our NHS Long Term Plan to investing at least £2.3 billion
of extra funding a year into mental health services by 2023-24. This will see an additional
345,000 children and young people able to access support through National Health Service-funded
services or school- and college-based mental health support teams.</p><p>On the 8
September, Public Health England (PHE) launched a mental wellbeing campaign for children
and young people. This involves an expansion of PHE’s Better Health-Every Mind Matters
website with content specifically for children and young people and their parents
and carers. The Every Mind Matters campaign also targets university students with
content on dealing with change, promoted via Snapchat influencers, and signposting
them to resources from charity partner The Mix, which offers free information and
support for under 25s on mental health, as well as relationships, sex, drugs, money
and jobs.</p>
