Shared Services would also not hold details for a rejected voluntary downgrade. Legal aid remains available for victims of domestic violence and child abuse where objective evidence of this abuse can be provided, subject to means and merits test.</p><p>We are determined to improve the treatment of domestic abuse victims and have recently consulted on how best to build on the recent improvements we have made in this area.
