answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 27/07/2020 answer text <p>The UK Government is clear that those individuals who have fought for, or supported Daesh, whatever their nationality, should face justice through a fair trial in the most appropriate jurisdiction. Any decision in relation to the continued detention, transfer or prosecution of detainees is ultimately a matter for authorities under whose jurisdiction the individuals are detained. The UK will continue to work with international partners, as well as partners in the region in seeking to secure the prosecution of individuals who have committed crimes in the name of Daesh. We strongly condemn all attacks on places of worship. The UK continues to work with our partners in the Global Coalition Against Daesh to tackle the Daesh insurgency in Syria and Iraq. The UK position is that the Assad regime has lost all legitimacy as a result of its atrocities against the Syrian people. The Global Coalition does not and will not protect groups with any connection to Daesh. The Syrian Democratic Forces (SDF), partners of the Global Coalition, provide security to the camp. We are aware that some Syrians have left al Hol camp for areas of Syria under SDF-control, including Raqqa and Deir-ez-Zour, in a process managed by the SDF and local community leaders.
