answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 08/11/2022 answer text <p>The Secretary of State is currently conducting his statutory annual review of State Pensions and benefit rates. The outcome of that review will be announced in due course.</p><p> </p><p>Universal Credit is designed to make work pay, so not all of a person's net earnings are deducted from their Universal Credit. Claimants with children and/or limited capability for work will also benefit from a work allowance.</p><p> </p><p>A work allowance is an amount of earnings a Universal Credit household can earn (including employed and self-employed earnings) before the single taper rate of 55 per cent is applied to their earnings and their Universal Credit begins to be reduced. In simple terms, this means that 45 pence in every pound earned would be kept: claimants are £45 better off for every extra £100 of net earnings.</p><p> </p><p>If a single claimant (or either claimant in a couple) have responsibility for a child or qualifying young person, and/or have limited capability for work, they will be eligible for a work allowance.</p> answering member constituency Hexham answering member printed Guy Opperman question first answered 08/11/2022 16:57:07 answering member 4142 label Biography information for Guy Opperman

answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2020 answer text <p>As of June 2020, 741,200 children are covered by Child Maintenance Service arrangements; the majority of cases use Direct Pay, where parents arrange maintenance payments between themselves.</p><p> </p><p>During the quarter ending June 2020, £238.4 million in child maintenance was paid through the Collect &amp; Pay service, or due to be paid through Direct Pay.</p><p> </p><p>When measuring the effectiveness of the Child Maintenance Service, the Service collects data on the rate of compliance of paying parents using the Collect &amp; Pay service. The most recent quarterly statistics show that 74 per cent of all paying parents due to pay through the Collect &amp; Pay Service cleared some of their child maintenance.</p><p> </p><p>At the end of June 2020, 41,800 Paying Parents on the Collect &amp; Pay service had a Deduction from Earnings Order / Request in force. £27.1m was collected from these Paying Parents during the quarter. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/09/2018 answer text <p>Since 2012, approximately 9,000 eligible jobholders have been automatically enrolled in Mansfield constituency.</p><p>Automatic enrolment is a great success story. Over 9.8 million employees have been automatically enrolled into a workplace pension, and more than 1.3 million employers have met their duties as at the end of July 2018.</p><p>Nationally in 2012, the percentage of eligible private sector workers participating in a workplace pension hit a low of 42 per cent. This figure has now risen to 81 per cent. This marks a 39 percentage point increase in pension participation of this group since the introduction of Automatic Enrolment.</p><p> </p><p>Young people have embraced pension saving, with 77 per cent of eligible 22 to 29 year olds working in the private sector now enrolled in a workplace pension. For context, only 24 per cent of this group were enrolled into a workplace pension in 2012, before the introduction of Automatic Enrolment.
