answer text <p>The deployment of HMS QUEEN ELIZABETH will demonstrate the UK's commitment to upholding a rules-based international system and showcase our world-leading carrier capability. Detailed planning continues but the Government has yet to announce its programme or destination. Once plans have been agreed, the Government will bring a statement on the deployment before Parliament.</p><p> </p><p>The UK has enduring interests in the region and is committed to maintaining regional security, including asserting its rights to freedom of navigation and overflight as laid out in UNCLOS. answer text <p>The change in the Atomic Weapons Establishment operating model will enhance the Ministry of Defence's (MOD) agility to manage the UK's nuclear deterrent and improve the delivery of core defence objectives, including the replacement warhead.</p><p>The change will also enable the MOD to invest in the development of the workforce, infrastructure and capabilities needed for the replacement warhead programme. answer text <p>The Government appreciates the courage shown and sacrifices made by all our brave Service men and women, including those who have served in the Submarine Service as part of Operation Relentless. However, there are no plans to introduce a special service medal. Since 2010, our submariners receive the Deterrent Patrol Pin recognising the professionalism, dedication and commitment displayed by those who have deployed on ballistic missile submarine patrols. Former members of the Service are entitled, and encouraged, to apply for the pin in recognition of their previous service.</p> more like this

They are also signposted to the full range of support and assistance available for welfare matters, including gambling. New officers are trained how to identify and support those under their command who are experiencing financial difficulties, including those caused by gambling.</p><p>There are no plans to enact legislation similar to that of the United States' Gambling Addiction Prevention Act 2019. Polices and initiatives already in operation by the Department and Armed Forces closely mirror the requirements and obligations stipulated by said Act and have similar effect.</p> more like this
