answer text <p>We inherited a situation which has seen years of entrenched under-investment. That will take time to turn around, but we are determined to do so. We are working at pace to deliver a Steel Strategy that will set out a long-term vision for a bright and sustainable steel sector in the UK, with good highly paid jobs.</p><p>The Strategy will be supported by up to £2.5bn funding that will be available through the National Wealth Fund and other routes.</p> more like this

answer text <p>This Government is committed to community ownership, and through the English Devolution Bill will introduce a new Community Right to Buy, which will make it easier for communities to take on valued assets, such as empty shops, pubs and community spaces.</p><p>All future funding is subject to the Spending Review, launched by the Chancellor on <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/fixing-the-foundations-public-spending-audit-2024-25/fixing-the-foundations-public-spending-audit-2024-25-html" target="_blank">2 August 2024</a>. The Government will use the Spending Review to change the way public services are delivered by embedding a mission-led approach, driving forward public service reform and making the best use of technology to better deliver services.
