Friend, the Secretary of State for Education said in 2014 that the Careers &amp; Enterprise Company would sustain itself in the longer term. Since then, the government has asked the company to take on an expanded role to help deliver the government’s careers strategy. The company is supporting schools and colleges to improve their careers provision in line with the Gatsby Benchmarks of Good Career Guidance. We will shortly publish a revised sustainability plan alongside the 2019-20 Grant Funding Agreement on the company’s website at: <a href="https://www.careersandenterprise.co.uk/" target="_blank">https://www.careersandenterprise.co.uk/</a>.</p><p>Funding for all staff salaries at the Careers &amp; Enterprise Company comes from the overall grant funding agreement. The total grant for 2018-19 was £30.2 million. The company recently advertised for a Parliamentary and Government Relations Manager at £40,000 to £50,000 and a Communications Manager at £42,000 to £48,000. The maximum membership of the Order is 65 people. There have been 28 appointments to the Order since 2014, including five appointments in 2018 and one in 2019. The independent honours committees work closely with Government departments to seek and attract nominees with a wide breadth of outstanding achievement. From April 2019, over 2.1 million people will benefit from inflation-beating increases in the minimum wages rates.</p><p> </p><p>At Spring Statement 2019, the Government confirmed the Low Pay Commission’s remit for the National Living Wage to reach 60 per cent of median earnings by 2020, subject to sustained economic growth. At £8.21 an hour, the National Living Wage is on track to meet this target. Later this year, the Government will set out the Low Pay Commission’s remit beyond 2020, with the ultimate objective of ending low pay in the UK.</p><p> </p><p>To help inform this new remit, the Government has appointed Professor Arindrajit Dube to undertake a review of the latest international evidence on the impacts of minimum wages and consider the implications for future minimum wage policy in the UK. Students are then legally obliged to repay any tuition fee loans in accordance with the contract they sign when taking out the loan. The Office for National Statistics classifies the money provided by the government to cover tuition fees as a debt for the purposes of the public finances. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/04/2019 answer text <p>This government is committed to delivering a sustainable long-term solution to poverty, by building a strong economy and ensuring that the benefit system works with the tax system and the labour market, to support employment and higher pay.</p><p>The Government does not publish data on those living more than 50% below the poverty line as comparisons of household income and expenditure suggest that those households reporting the very lowest incomes may not have the lowest living standards, meaning such a measure is likely to be unreliable.</p><p> </p><p>The Department for Work and Pensions, through its Jobcentre Plus network and local delivery partners, provides support for vulnerable customers or those with complex needs to address barriers so that they can move forward with their lives.</p><p> </p><p>A report on progress on the 2030 Sustainable Development Goals Agenda will be presented to the UN’s High Level Political Forum in July as part of the UK’s Voluntary National Review. When operating overseas, the MOD applies UK standards and arrangements where reasonably practicable and, in addition, responds to host nations' relevant HS and EP expectations.
