star this property answer text <p>While the UK remains a full member of the European Union it retains all of the rights, obligations and benefits that membership brings. The long-term relationship between the UK and the EIB will need to be resolved as part of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer is the UK Governor of the European Investment Bank and continues to fulfil his governance duties. The Chancellor continues to meet his European counterparts on a regular basis to discuss a range of issues.</p><p> </p><p>The EIB publish all loans made to UK borrowers as well as details on all future projects yet to be financed. Between 2013 and 2015, the UK received €20.7bn in EIB financing. This means that a number of programmes will continue to receive EU funding across the programme’s lifetime. In such cases, funding will continue until after 2020 and the end of the transition period. star this property answer text <p>Taking into account the financial settlement with the EU, the Government has determined how an additional £14.6 billion of spending by 2024-25 can be allocated to its domestic priorities, rather than be sent in contributions to the EU. This additional spending was included in the overall spending plans that the government set out at Spending Review 2020, which prioritised funding to support the government’s response to Covid-19, invest in the UK’s recovery for all nations and regions and deliver on promises to the British people.</p><p> </p><p>As part of the UK-EU Trade and Cooperation Agreement published on 24 December 2020, the UK has agreed to participate in certain EU programmes for the 2021-2027 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) including Horizon Europe, Euratom Research and Training and Copernicus. UK entities will be able to participate and bid for EU funds through these programmes.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, the Withdrawal Agreement provides for continued UK participation in programmes funded under the 2014-2020 MFF until their closure. This means that the vast majority of programmes will continue to receive EU funding across the programme’s lifetime, including where this lasts beyond 2020. UK organisations can also continue to bid for grant funding under the 2014-2020 MFF.</p><p><strong> </strong></p>

star this property answer text <p>The application process for Horizon 2020 is administered by the European Commission. UK participants can continue to bid for competitive Horizon 2020 EU research funding while we remain a member of the EU. We will work with the Commission to ensure payment when funds are awarded. The Treasury will underwrite the payment of such awards, even when specific projects continue beyond the UK’s departure from the EU. This applies to all UK participants with direct agreements with the Commission who meet the terms of the grant.</p><p>The Commission has made it clear that proposals from, or including, UK applicants must be treated in the same way as applications from other Member States while the UK remains a member of the EU.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Government is continuing to assess the impact of leaving the EU on the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector, including around funding. The National Council for Voluntary Organisations estimate that in 2014/15 the UK voluntary sector received between £350-450 million of EU funding. Estimates for 2016 are not yet available.</p><p> </p><p>There are a wide range of EU funds that community and voluntary sector organisations access.
