star this property answer text <p>Recently released statistics show the Department for International Trade (DIT) supported inward investment that contributes to the Government’s green industrial revolution agenda. star this property answer text <p>Through the Export Strategy, the Department for International Trade (DIT) is targeting the barriers affecting small-and-medium sized businesses (SMEs) by providing a single point of contact for businesses who export or wish to do so. SMEs also benefit from the Internationalisation Fund, having so far attracted around 4,400 applications and allocated around £21M in funding.</p><p> </p><p>DIT work with businesses to reduce trade barriers and secure world-class free trade agreements, supporting British business to take full advantage of trade opportunities.</p><p> </p><p>DIT has directly assisted Solihull based Evac+Chair, a globally renowned manufacturer of evacuation chairs, with market access issues into both Spain and USA resulting in their business growth.</p> more like this

The programme of educational masterclass and mentoring programmes engaged over 100 food producers. star this property answer text <p>The Department for International Trade’s Export Support Service provide specialist overseas support to small-and-medium-sized UK enterprises looking to export and grow in African markets, including Somaliland. The free support service, which is offered to high export potential businesses, entails tailored consultations with in-market specialists and off-the-shelf market intelligence on specific sectors and country markets. Since launching the service in Africa in August 2021, the team have serviced three enquiries from UK businesses needing support in exporting into Somaliland.</p><p> </p><p>In addition, through British International Investment, the UK has made a significant investment in the development of Berbera Port.</p> more like this

Tradeshows in India for the remainder of 2021 were also cancelled.</p><p> </p><p>We are however making support available to UK businesses for them to attend and exhibit at a number of events in India for the remainder of 2022/23, via the new <strong>UK Tradeshow Programme</strong>.</p><p> </p><p>DIT actively supports businesses in a variety of ways to seek export opportunities in India.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>British businesses have been helped to export to 61 countries around the world over the past year with £7.4 billion of government support through UK Export Finance – providing a significant boost to jobs and the UK economy.</p><p> </p><p>This support has helped 545 companies directly (of whom 81% were small and medium sized enterprises), and thousands more indirectly in supply chains. During that year, UK Export Finance supported around 72,000 UK jobs. UK Export Finance provided £33 billion of support to UK exporters during the period 2017/18 to 2021/22. UK Export Finance was recently named the world’s best ECA at the International TFG Trade Awards 2022.</p> more like this
