<p>HM Treasury works closely with the Department for Education and Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government to support the financial sustainability of local councils, so they can continue to offer a range of vital services, including children’s services. Decisions on long-term funding for local government will be taken at the Comprehensive Spending Review.</p>
