Following the STRB’s recommendations, these reforms have given schools much greater freedom to attract and retain the best teachers and to reward individuals in line with their contribution to improving their pupils’ achievements.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The demands on the STRB’s time and resources in the reform process mean that the government has had to make hard decisions on the issues it refers to STRB. In light of the focus of the important referrals above, the Department for Education has not prioritised revisions to the existing salary sacrifice arrangements for inclusion in recent STRB referrals. They are therefore free to offer their teachers access to car purchase salary sacrifice schemes. Currently, 15% of all primary schools and 62% of all secondary schools are academies.</p><p> </p><p>In local authority maintained schools, changes to the statutory pay and conditions of teachers must first be referred to the independent School Teachers’ Review Body (STRB). Recent STRB referrals have focused on fundamental reforms to the overall pay and conditions framework for teachers. These documents are published online at: <a href="http://www.gov.uk/government/collections/school-teachers-review-body-strb-reports" target="_blank">www.gov.uk/government/collections/school-teachers-review-body-strb-reports</a></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>The report makes recommendations on the pay award for teachers in 2015/16. The government has proposed to accept the STRB’s recommendations in full, subject to the views of statutory consultees. PHE, in partnership with NHS England, is currently running the national multi-channel campaign ‘Stay Well This Winter’, which encourages people who are most at-risk of preventable emergency admission to hospital to take actions to help them stay well, such as getting a flu vaccination and visiting a pharmacy at the first sign of a winter illness.</p><p> </p><p>Television adverts encourage people with long-term health conditions including breathlessness and lung disease to get the flu vaccine. The radio and social media advertising specifically target people with chronic lung diseases, including chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, emphysema, bronchitis and asthma. It particularly monitors vaccine uptake, effectiveness and safety.</p><p> </p><p>Hospital admissions in persons with chronic respiratory disease are due to a wide range of causes, one of which can be flu. No study has been undertaken on the potential relationship between uptake of the flu vaccine in people with chronic respiratory disease and hospital admissions for people with chronic respiratory disease. However, PHE flu vaccine uptake monitoring has shown that the group 16-65 years of age with chronic respiratory disease had an uptake of 49.1% in 2016/17. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 19/01/2018 answer text <p>We welcomed President Kiir’s November decree calling for unhindered humanitarian access. However, data from the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) shows that humanitarian aid continues to be obstructed by all parties to the conflict, including the Government of South Sudan. Challenges including levels of violence, physical obstructions to aid delivery and bureaucratic blockages still exist, despite the decree. OCHA reported that, in December 2017 alone, 111 incidents occurred where aid was obstructed, which indicates that the number of incidents has not reduced and that there has been no improvement in access since the decree. The Strategic Dialogue provides an important platform to raise issues of bilateral interest between the UK and Sudan. Key achievements of our phased engagement so far include influencing the Sudanese decision to open a humanitarian corridor to famine-hit areas of South Sudan, joint work on migration projects, and a commitment to engage on economic reform.
