answer text <p>Under Article Eighteen of the Constitution of Pakistan responsibility for curriculum has been devolved to provincial governments. DFID Pakistan’s education programmes are at the provincial level in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa provinces. These two programmes are working in partnership with these provincial governments to redesign curricula to improve quality, relevance and inclusion. It is the responsibility of the provincial government curriculum boards to approve curricula.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The majority of DFID’s investment in education in Pakistan is undertaken in partnership with the provincial governments in Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. These investments have supported nearly 10 million children of all faiths in primary and nearly 6 million in secondary schools. In Punjab and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa DFID is also supporting provincial governments to train teachers, revise textbooks and curricula to improve content that promotes positive attitudes towards religious and other minorities.</p> more like this

Despite recent assurances from the President that access would be granted to all areas of the country, aid supplies were again prevented from reaching certain areas this weekend. We will be working closely with our partners to monitor the situation and will continue to call on all sides to lay down their arms and allow unrestricted access for the UN Mission in South Sudan and humanitarian organisations to ensure aid can get to where it is needed.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK provided £112 million in aid to Yemen in 2016/17, which supported over 462,000 people with food or food vouchers, and over 889,000 women and children with nutrition interventions. Given the scale of the current crisis in Yemen, yesterday we further increased UK aid for 2017/18 to £139 million, to provide lifesaving aid to hundreds of thousands of desperate people.
