	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2018 answer text <p>According to the Health Survey for England, in 2015 22% of children (23% of boys and 20% of girls) aged 5-15 met the physical activity guidelines of being at least moderately active for at least 60 minutes every day. This is higher than in 2012, when 21% of boys and 16% of girls met the guidelines. However this excludes school-based activities and active travel. Government departments including DCMS, DfE and DHSC have worked with Sport England to develop the new Active Lives: Children and Young People survey. This survey launched in schools in September 2017 and will measure in much more detail how children and young people engage in sport and physical activity, and how many are meeting the Chief Medical Officer's guidelines, both in and out of school. A high proportion of charities are based in cities and towns, in this instance Nottingham or Sheffield, or have their main office in London, but deliver activity and services to a much wider area. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/07/2019 answer text <p>At the grassroots level, Sport England has invested a total of £3,387,319 Lottery and Exchequer funding to support Wheelchair Rugby since 2014/15.</p><p>For the 2013-17 Rio Paralympic cycle, UK Sport invested £3,037,607 into Wheelchair Rugby, and £57,000 into the 2015 BT World Wheelchair Rugby Challenge. The Government will publish it’s response to the Review in due course.</p><p> </p><p>As the National Citizen Service is aimed at 16-17 year olds, the majority of participants are recruited via their schools or colleges. The NCS Trust aims to develop partnerships with employers so that employees can support NCS. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/09/2021 answer text <p>Events at UEFA EURO 2020 this summer demonstrated the immense value of access to Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and first aid training for anyone involved in sport. Sports have a responsibility to make the safety and welfare of players their top priority, including through access to life-saving first aid equipment and relevant training and education.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>AEDs are already recommended best practice at all sports stadia, as set out in guidance from the Sports Grounds Safety Authority. Local authorities are able to mandate AED provision (at grounds designated under the Safety of Sports Grounds 1975 Act or sports grounds with regulated stands under the Fire Safety and Safety of Places of Sport Act 1987 Act) through medical plans included in General Safety Certificates.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>At the grassroots level, all capital funding awards for sports venues made by Sport England, the Government’s arm’s length body for community sport, must include AED provision if it is not already available. For football facilities, support over recent years has been provided by The Football Association (The FA) and the British Heart Foundation to help ensure AEDs are available. In June 2021 I welcomed the Premier League’s announcement of their new Defibrillator Fund, which will fund AEDs at thousands of football clubs and facilities across the country. Each grant recipient will be required to have at least one person successfully complete The FA Education Sudden Cardiac Arrest free online course. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/06/2018 answer text <p>Following the publication of the Government response to the Internet Safety Strategy Green Paper on 20 May, DCMS and Home Office will jointly work on a White Paper with other government departments, to be published later this year. This will set out legislation to be brought forward that tackles a range of both legal and illegal harms, from cyberbullying to online child sexual exploitation. The Government will continue to collaborate closely with industry on this work, to ensure it builds on progress already made.</p><p> </p><p>As the Prime Minister said in her speech at Davos on 25 January, we are looking at the legal liability that social media companies have for the illegal content shared on their sites.
