answer text <p>The HM Armed Forces Veteran Card has had a two-phase rollout.</p><p> </p><p>Phase 1 is complete; all Service leavers since December 2018 automatically receive a Veteran Card from MOD as part of their discharge process.</p><p>Phase 2 extended access to the Veteran Card to those who left before December 2018. The new digital application and verification service launched at 00:01 on 28 January 2024 allowing pre-2018 veterans to apply for the card.</p><p> </p><p>Under Phase 2, for South Holland and the Deepings, as at 17 July 2024, 127 applications have been received and 122 cards posted.</p><p>Under Phase 2, for Lincolnshire, as at 17 July 2024, 3,683 applications have been received and 3,637 cards posted.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK is committed to getting humanitarian aid to the people in Gaza who desperately need it. The Foreign Secretary announced on 19 July that we will restart funding to UNRWA, releasing £21 million for Gaza and the region. We have also announced an additional £5.5. million to UK NGO UK-Med so they can continue their work in Gaza saving lives and delivering emergency medical care to those most in need.</p><p>During the Foreign Secretary's visit to Israel on 14-15 July he made clear to Prime Minister Netanyahu and other interlocutors that Israel must meet its commitment to &quot;flood Gaza with aid&quot;.</p> more like this

answer text <p>This Government is totally committed to spending 2.5% of GDP on Defence as soon as possible. The Government will set out a clear path to 2.5% at a future fiscal event.</p><p> </p><p>Renewing the nation’s contract with those who serve is a priority for this Government. Morale of our Armed Forces is at a record low – the Armed Forces Continuous Attitude Survey published in May 2024 reported that satisfaction with Service life remained at the lowest reported level.</p><p> </p><p>In the King's speech the Government announced that we will establish an Armed Forces Commissioner as an independent champion for Service personnel and their families, as a first step to improving Service life.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Improving Service accommodation is a priority for this Government.</p><p> </p><p>The Armed Forces Continuous Attitude survey shows Service personnel have low levels of satisfaction with the standard of accommodation. Ministers will consider options on accommodation as part of departmental work to address low morale and recruitment and retention challenges in our Armed Forces.</p><p> </p><p>As a first step to improving service life the Government will establish an Armed Forces Commissioner as a direct point of contact for Service personnel and their families, to raise issues including housing.</p> more like this
