The Committee on the Grant of Honours, Decorations and Medals Committee (the “HD Committee”) is re-establishing the Advisory Military Sub-Committee, with an independent chair, to examine historic military medals claims. Any recommendation from that Sub-Committee will then go back to the HD Committee to advise Her Majesty the Queen. The Sub-Committee is expected to start work in 2019.
