This requires them to give highest admissions priority to looked-after and previously looked-after children.</p><p>The School Admissions Code does not apply, however, to city technology colleges (CTCs), including city colleges for the technology of the arts (CCTAs), which are independent schools set up under provisions originally within the Education Reform Act 1998.</p><p>Each of these schools was established prior to the introduction of a mandatory School Admissions Code, so the funding agreements put in place do not require them to give priority to looked-after or previously looked after children.</p><p>Any variation in those funding agreements has to be with the CTC or CCTA’s agreement.</p> answering member constituency Crewe and Nantwich answering member printed Mr Edward Timpson question first answered 24/10/2014 13:32:34 answering member 1605 label Biography information for Edward Timpson

	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/10/2014 answer text <p>On 24 May 2011, the then Secretary of State confirmed that 261 schools would be rebuilt, or have their condition needs met through the Priority School Building Programme (PSBP). These schools were selected on the basis of their condition need.</p><p>For delivery purposes, the 261 schools have been grouped into batches taking geography and commercial viability into consideration. We have sought to prioritise the delivery of those batches containing schools in the worst condition.</p><p>In June 2014, a second phase of the PSBP was launched.
