As per the answer to PQ 184996, please note that offenders may appear both within the caseload figures of court orders (including community orders and suspended sentence orders), and post-release supervision.</p><p> </p><p>The National Probation Service and Community Rehabilitation Companies work closely with other agencies to support offenders in the community. When an offender being supervised by Probation dies, the Probation provider must examine the circumstances of the death and identify areas to improve practice. While we work extremely closely with each offender before and after release to help them find the support they need, we do not have sole responsibility for caring for these offenders. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2018 answer text <p><br>Children in care are amongst the most vulnerable in our society and they should be admitted to the school that is best able to meet their needs. Since 2007, school admission authorities have been required to give looked after children highest priority in their admission arrangements. In 2012, this priority was further extended to previously looked after children.</p><p> </p><p>The government also wants to ensure that children adopted from care overseas receive equal highest priority for admission into school as those looked after or previously looked after by a local authority in England. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2018 answer text <p>All staff employed by the House of Lords Administration are reimbursed for actual accommodation expenses incurred whilst staying away from home as part of their duties. There is no allowance payable.  The arrangements for reimbursement are in accordance with the Staff Handbook.</p><p>In most cases, if House staff are required to stay away from home at a UK location, they can claim for their accommodation up to the cost of a room with a bath at a three-star hotel or equivalent.</p><p>If House staff are required to stay away from home at a location outside the UK, in most cases they are reimbursed the actual cost of accommodation up to the value of the prevailing HMRC-authorised room rates.</p><p>For staff travelling in connection with Select Committee activity staff usually stay in the same hotel as the members they are accompanying, for which actual accommodation costs are reimbursed.</p><p>The housing costs of the Brussels-based National Parliament Representative (who supports the work of the House of Lords EU Committee and that of other committees in relation to matters of EU policy) are paid on an invoiced basis.</p><p>Staff travelling in connection with an international assembly are reimbursed according to the rules of that assembly.</p><p>Staff living outside London are not entitled to any payment towards costs of accommodation if they choose to stay in London when working.</p><p> </p><p> </p> answering member printed Lord McFall of Alcluith question first answered 14/11/2018 16:50:26 answering member 4148 label Biography information for Lord McFall of Alcluith
