star this property answer text <p>All unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee children in the UK receive care and support from a local authority, regardless of nationality or how they arrived in the country.</p><p> </p><p>On 1 November 2016, the Immigration Minister and the Minister for Vulnerable Children and Families announced that the Government would publish a safeguarding strategy for unaccompanied asylum seeking and refugee children.
