answer text <p>15 hours of free early years education for disadvantaged 2 year olds was introduced in September 2013.</p><p>The number of 2 year olds eligible was extended in September 2014 to children in low-income families, children with a statement of Special Educational Needs or an Education, Health and Care Plan, children in receipt of Disability Living Allowance and children who are no longer looked after by a local authority as a result of an adoption order, a special guardianship order or a child arrangements order which specifies who the child will live with. In April 2018, the eligibility criteria for which 2 year olds can benefit from a funded early education place were changed to reflect the introduction and roll-out of Universal Credit.</p><p>The number of eligible 2 year olds and the number of 2 year olds benefitting from up to 15 hours’ funded early education are shown in the table. The number of households who applied and the number of households who were successful are not available. This is because data is not collected per household, and therefore the number of households who applied and the number of households who were successful cannot be provided. Figures dating back to 2014 can be found in the ‘Provision for children under 5 years of age in England, January 2018’ statistics publication which was published on 28 June 2018. answer text <p>30 hours free childcare is available to working parents of three and four year olds and eligibility is based on parental income.</p><p> </p><p>A three or four year old is eligible for 30 hours free childcare if both their parents, or the sole parent in a lone parent family, expects to earn a weekly minimum equivalent to working 16 hours at national minimum or living wage and under £100,000 a year.</p><p> </p><p>We estimate that 58% of three and four year olds are not eligible for 30 hours because either only one of their parents is employed or because their parent(s) do not meet the required minimum income threshold.</p><p> </p><p>We estimate that less than 1% of three and four year olds are not eligible, even though both parents are employed and meet the required minimum threshold, because at least one of their parents expects to earn £100,000 or more per year.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>341 Carillion apprentices who were unable to find new jobs at the end of July 2018 have been made redundant.</p><p> </p><p>Every effort was made to support the apprentices to find new jobs. When Carillion went into liquidation on 15 January 2018, an extensive support programme was established to help 1,148 apprentices employed to find alternative employment. Construction Industry Training Board (CITB) supported 775 apprentices to successfully apply for new jobs with alternative employers in the sector where they have resumed their apprenticeships. Some former Carillion apprentices found work in different sectors or returned to full time education.</p><p> </p><p>The 341 apprentices who have been made redundant will continue to receive support from CITB to apply for apprenticeships. They have been offered information, advice and guidance and where appropriate are being encouraged to return to full time education, if they have an appetite to continue their construction qualifications.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p>

answer text <p>37 local authorities were protected by the transitional protection, which prevents any authority seeing an annual reduction in their three and four year old hourly funding rates of more than five per cent. Each area’s percentage change is shown in the attached table. answer text <p><ins class="ministerial">Figures for educational psychologists in service in all local authorities in 2017 are not available until Summer 2018.</ins></p><p>The attached table provides the number of Educational Psychologists (EPs) that were reported as being directly employed by each local authority in November 2016. The list excludes local authorities where EP provision has been outsourced or the provision has been shared with other local authorities. It would also be open to academies and free schools to obtain their own provision.</p><p> </p> more like this
