<p>Local Authorities are generally responsible for funding the development of business cases for local transport schemes including reopening of railway stations. Funding provided by the Government through the Local Growth Fund and other devolved funding streams may, in some circumstances, be used for business case development provided that it otherwise meets the criteria for the funding.</p>
