	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/06/2015 answer text <p>The UK’s main objective is to support the Government of Sierra Leone to reach and then maintain zero cases of Ebola as quickly as possible. Huge progress has been made, and it is clear our strategy is working. Case numbers have reduced from a peak of more than 500 in late November 2014, to eight cases in the week ending 21<sup>st</sup> June 2015. We expect there to be a bumpy tail of cases before zero is reached and so we cannot become complacent. The UK response will continue to adapt as the epidemiology changes, and will remain flexible and responsive until Sierra Leone gets to zero. In line with the FCO’s Consular Strategy 2013-2016, we focus resources on those who need us most and are most at risk. We route calls to all our consular posts overseas to three contact centres in Malaga, Hong Kong and Ottawa. Urgent cases, and those that require local support, are passed to posts across eight consular regions.</p><p>The number and location of our consular posts is based on the number of British nationals travelling and living overseas, and the number and complexity of consular cases. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/07/2015 answer text <p>There has been a marked improvement in the debt position of many African countries over the last 15 years as a result of the Heavily Indebted Poor Countries (HIPC) initiative and the Multilateral Debt Relief Initiative (MDRI), both of which were established following strong UK leadership. Many countries have borrowed prudently over recent years and do not raise concerns about debt sustainability. But some countries’ debt levels are rising at an unsustainable rate.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>I welcome the recent change in the IMF’s debt limit policy to take account of all public external debt in its setting of debt limits for countries which are at risk of unsustainable debt. I also welcome the review of the way the IMF analyses debt sustainability for consideration by the IMF Board early next year. The UK is providing a substantial package of UK military, intelligence and development support to Nigeria. We have also contributed £5 million to support efforts to establish a Multinational Joint Taskforce against Boko Haram. We are looking to expand our support to Nigeria even further. The Prime Minister has met President Buhari twice, including during the G7 Summit, to discuss how we could best help Nigeria win the fight against Boko Haram, including increasing UK Military Assistance to the region. In Niger, the UK is has an active role within the EU civilian training mission (EUCAP Sahel Niger) to deliver capacity building support to the Nigerien security services to strengthen their ability to combat terrorism and organised crime. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/06/2015 answer text <p>DFID has provided £9.25 million to support the relief efforts for Burundian refugees fleeing to Tanzania, through the United Nations High Commission for Refugees (UNHCR), the World Food Programme (WFP), the International Organization for Migration (IOM), and Oxfam. Additionally, DFID has approved £3.9 million to support Burundian refugees in Rwanda. These packages will be used to fund the transport of refugees to camps, shelter, medical care, water and sanitation infrastructure, food rations, and to support the deployment of expert personnel.</p><p> </p><p>In 2014 DFID supported UNICEF and the WFP through a separate programme in Burundi to prepare to assist up to 10,000 people in the event of a humanitarian crisis. This support will continue in 2015 and extend to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) and UNHCR.</p><p> </p><p>DFID is also the main donor to the international NGO consortium START network, providing £13.7 million to the network for its global operations since April 2014. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 16/07/2015 answer text <p>We are seriously concerned about the deteriorating humanitarian crisis in Burundi.</p><p> </p><p>To support the international response and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) Burundi Regional Refugee Response Plan, DFID has provided £9.25million to support relief efforts for Burundian refugees fleeing to Tanzania and £3.9million to support Burundian refugees in Rwanda.
