BEIS and the Oil and Gas Authority continue to monitor the situation. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 23/01/2017 answer text <p>The Renewables Obligation (RO) support scheme closed early to new onshore wind capacity in Great Britain after 12 May 2016, with limited grace periods allowing projects meeting certain criteria to gain accreditation up to 31 January 2019. This funding will go towards projects beginning from 2021 onwards, which will receive a share of this annual budget for the duration of their 15-year contracts.</p><p>Allocation of the first tranche of this support, totalling £290m, began in November last year and projects receiving this support will be announced later this year.
