We understand the concerns that many people have about the potential for distress to be caused by fireworks to animals, including pets, livestock and wildlife. This is one of the reasons why there are existing laws in place to control firework availability and use by both the general public and professional display operators. Measures including age related restrictions, a curfew and a noise limit help to reduce disturbance to animals.</p><p> </p><p>It is an offence under the Animal Welfare Act 2006 to cause any unnecessary suffering to an animal that is under a person’s control. A wild animal is used in a travelling circus if the animal performs or is exhibited as part of the circus. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 07/10/2019 answer text <p>Veterinary medicines have been recognised by the Government as critical to human and animal welfare and national security.</p><p> </p><p>The majority of veterinary medicines used in the UK (and ingredients and components to make them) are either produced in or enter via the EU. The Government is working with animal health companies who have been carrying out extensive EU Exit contingency planning for all EU Exit scenarios, including no deal, covering all aspects of their supply chains, from regulatory compliance and stocking levels to logistics and customs. The importance of peri urban woods and urban woods for people’s wellbeing, both physical, mental and social is well known. The group is currently participating in a number of activities which will help increase our understanding of the health and wellbeing benefits of trees and greenspace.</p><p> </p><p>The Forestry Commission also supports the Urban Forest and Woodland Advisory Committee Network, which advises the Forestry Commission on forestry. The Tree Strategy will set out the Government’s vision for the sector for the years to come and will aim to cover both rural and urban areas.
