star this property answer text <p>Time spent in temporary accommodation means people are getting help and means people have a roof over their head.</p><p>MHCLG publishes regular statistics on rough sleeping, statutory homelessness, temporary accommodation and homelessness prevention and relief. These are published at national, London and local authority level. The latest statistics can be found at: <a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/homelessness-statistics" target="_blank">https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/homelessness-statistics</a>.</p><p>The Department doesn’t currently hold data on the numbers of people who have been temporarily housed in bed and breakfast accommodation by age cohort.</p><p>We are, however, overhauling the statutory homelessness data collection alongside the introduction of the Homelessness Reduction Act, and the data you have requested will be collected from April 2018.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>London boroughs receive funding to respond to homelessness from a number of funding streams including Flexible Homeless Support Grant, Homelessness Prevention funding and the Homelessness Prevention Programme.</p><p>On 30 March we announced additional funding of £30 million to tackle rough sleeping in local authorities with the highest numbers of rough sleepers. Final allocations will be announced shortly.</p><p>The Department engages regularly with London boroughs and the Greater London Authority on homelessness and this dialogue will continue as we work together to reduce homelessness.</p> more like this
