star this property answer text <p>While the UK remains a full member of the European Union it retains all of the rights, obligations and benefits that membership brings. The long-term relationship between the UK and the EIB will need to be resolved as part of the UK’s withdrawal from the EU.</p><p> </p><p>The Chancellor of the Exchequer is the UK Governor of the European Investment Bank and continues to fulfil his governance duties. The Chancellor continues to meet his European counterparts on a regular basis to discuss a range of issues.</p><p> </p><p>The EIB publish all loans made to UK borrowers as well as details on all future projects yet to be financed. Between 2013 and 2015, the UK received €20.7bn in EIB financing. star this property answer text <p>The government has guaranteed all multi-year European Structural and Investment Fund (ESIF) projects which are signed ahead of the point at which the UK leaves the EU. Funding for projects will be guaranteed if the department responsible for managing the relevant ESIF programme is satisfied that projects provide strong value for money and are in line with their strategic priorities. Each government department will take responsibility for the allocation of money to projects in line with these conditions and the wider rules on public spending.</p> more like this

This includes projects that will continue beyond the UK’s departure from the European Union. The government has said that it will consult closely with stakeholders to review all EU funding schemes in the round, to ensure that any ongoing funding commitments best serve the UK‘s national interest, while ensuring appropriate investor certainty. The Government will continue to consider how best to support our regions following the UK’s departure from the European Union.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>EU science, education and research schemes are awarded on the basis of excellence and are not pre-allocated. As a world leader in these sectors, the UK has a strong track record at securing these funds – in recent years around 15% of such receipts from Horizon 2020, the EU’s main research programme, have gone to the UK. The deal secured by the Government on the 2014-2020 Multiannual Financial Framework (MFF) resulted in an increase of over one third in the proportion of the EU budget spent on competitiveness, research, innovation and university funding. In addition, Horizon 2020’s budget was almost 30% higher in real terms than its predecessor programme. The post-2020 MFF has not been proposed.</p> more like this
