star this property answer text <p>a) The Cabinet Office staff resource for the dashboard was less than 1 FTE.</p><p>b) There has been no additional non-pay cost to the public purse by creating the dashboard. The process was led by the Cabinet Office, who commissioned Government Departments to find REUL within their legislation and compile an authoritative account of where REUL sits on the UK statute book.</p><p>The dashboard itself is made by the Government Strategic Management Office and is hosted on Tableau Public, which is a free platform for hosting public dashboards. The dashboard will continue to be updated at no additional cost.</p><p> </p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Work is already taking place in each department to draw up plans for each piece of REUL in scope of the sunset, including an SI program.</p><p> </p><p>The process of cataloguing retained EU law across government has been ongoing, and a dashboard was published on 22 June 2022, as part of the cross-Whitehall substance review of REUL.</p><p> </p><p>The dashboard presents an authoritative catalogue of retained EU law, not a comprehensive list of retained EU law. We will continue to work across government to develop this catalogue where EU-derived legislation remains on our statute book and the data will be updated on a quarterly basis.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>We regularly engage with Ministers on EU exit, including on the agreement on the implementation period. The Government does not comment on internal discussions with Ministers.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The UK and the EU agreed in March, in the draft Withdrawal Agreement that, in most areas, EU law will continue to have the same legal effects in the UK as now during the implementation period, in order to provide continuity and certainty to businesses and citizens.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>The Government has been clear that the Withdrawal Agreement &amp; Implementation Bill will be used to implement the major elements of the Withdrawal Agreement in domestic law.</p><p><strong> </strong></p><p>In order to ensure that the UK’s interests are protected during the implementation period, a Joint Committee will be established to provide the UK with a means to raise concerns regarding new laws, which we consider might be harmful to our interests. We have also agreed that the whole Withdrawal Agreement will be subject to an article of good faith, ensuring that both sides support each other in delivering the agreement.</p>
