As of September 2023, around 24,600 vulnerable people affected by the events in Afghanistan have been brought to safety. This includes the first individuals to be relocated under Pathway 3 of the Afghan Citizens Resettlement Scheme (ACRS).</p><p>In the second stage of Pathway 3, our commitment to work with international partners and NGOs to welcome wider groups of Afghans still stands. 	answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 04/12/2023 answer text <p>Following the service of an asylum decision, an individual continues to be an asylum seeker for the purpose of asylum support until the end of the relevant prescribed period, also known as the ‘grace period’ or ‘move on period’. This period is 28 calendar days from when an individual is notified of a decision to accept their asylum claim and grant them leave. There are no current plans to extend this period (of 28 days).</p><p> </p><p>Individuals should make plans to move on from asylum support as soon as they are served their asylum decision. We offer support to all individuals through Migrant Help or their partner organisation in doing this. Data on whether arrivals are still in the UK or have left the UK is not published but some of the data in the ‘<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/irregular-migration-detailed-dataset-and-summary-tables#detailed-datasets" target="_blank">Irregular Migration to the UK detailed datasets</a>’ may provide an indication of these:</p><ul><li>Data on the number of arrivals is available in table Irr_D01.</li><li>Data on initial decisions from asylum applications of small boat arrivals by asylum case outcome is available in table Irr_D03.</li><li>Data on outcomes from NRM referrals of small boat arrivals by NRM case outcome is available in table Irr_D05.</li></ul><p>The Home Office also publishes statistics on the number of returns from the UK in table Ret_D01 of the ‘<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/statistical-data-sets/immigration-system-statistics-data-tables#returns" target="_blank">Returns detailed datasets</a>’, as part of the ‘<a href="https://www.gov.uk/government/collections/immigration-statistics-quarterly-release" target="_blank">Immigration System Statistics Quarterly Release</a>’.
