star this property answer text <p>In 2017, BEIS undertook an internal assessment of the Products Characteristic Database, the database containing product performance data used in the Standard Assessment Procedure (SAP). This assessment found that 65 per cent of the 492 boilers added to the database between 2014 and August 2016 met or exceeded the minimum efficiency requirement of 92 per cent according to the Energy-related Product (ErP) standard.</p> more like this

It would require the Government to take on the company’s outstanding financial obligations and may not provide the necessary legal security and protection for taxpayers’ investment.</p><p> </p><p>Once nationalised, in line with strict state aid rules for steel, the Government would have to act in the same was as any private owner, thinking principally of making a profit.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>Businesses across North Yorkshire are benefitting from this Government’s investment of over £840 million through the York, North Yorkshire and East Riding and Leeds City Region Growth Deals. This is providing financial assistance to local businesses, as well as improving infrastructure and skills.</p><p> </p><p>For instance, £47 million LGF award will release significant private sector investment in the York Central project. This £100 million urban regeneration will accommodate up to 7,000 jobs, and create more than 112,000 square meters of new retail, leisure and commercial space.</p> more like this

star this property answer text <p>BEIS Ministers and officials regularly engage with their counterparts in other departments on clean growth matters including ultra low and zero emission vehicle policy. We set out in our Road to Zero strategy published last year our mission to put the UK at the forefront of the design and manufacturing of zero emission vehicles, and for all new cars and vans to be effectively zero emission by 2040.</p><p> </p><p>Following the Prime Minister’s announcement on legislating for net zero, we will build on the strong frameworks of the Clean Growth Strategy and Industrial Strategy to deliver on that target in all sectors of the economy, including transport. The Government is committed to supporting the transition to zero emission vehicles, which can cut carbon, reduce air pollution, and help us grow the economy as part of our Industrial Strategy.</p> more like this

Policy on taxation is a matter for the Treasury.</p><p> </p><p>To achieve the ambitions set out in the Road to Zero strategy, Government is investing nearly £1.5 billion between April 2015 and March 2021, with grants available for plug-in vehicles and schemes to support chargepoint infrastructure. star this property answer text <p>The Department has regular discussions with the construction industry, including the Federation of Master Builders, about how best to improve the standard of work undertaken by firms and sole traders in the sector, and to protect consumers.</p><p> </p><p>The Government has already endorsed the TrustMark Scheme which works to educate consumers on recognising and reporting rogue traders operating in the home building and repair market. TrustMask is actively involved with Trading Standards to provide further protection to consumers affected by rogue builders; and to identify local traders who have undergone independent checks for both trade competence and good trading practice. This scheme gives consumers increased confidence and ability to choose registered businesses including builders who adhere to and maintain high standards.</p> more like this
