answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 14/11/2018 answer text <p>Since April 2016, Arts Council England (ACE) has invested more than £85,470,000 in theatre in the Midlands, including regular funding to their National Portfolio Organisations, National Lottery Grants for the Arts and Project Grants and Strategic funding. From the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford, to the National Student Drama Festival in Leicester, ACE support a diverse range of work which has international appeal, is accessible to audiences of all ages and backgrounds, and plays a key role as part of England’s vibrant arts and cultural ecology.</p><p> </p><p>Between June 2016 and March 2018, Arts Council invested £2,737,902 in Strategic Touring in the Midlands region. This programme funded touring work focusing specifically on areas of low engagement with the arts and those that rely on touring for much of their arts provision. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 22/11/2018 answer text <p>Government’s Sporting Future strategy set out how important it is for all children to have a good experience of sport and physical activity while they are young.</p><p> </p><p>Sport England supports children and young people in England by ensuring there is a good sports and activity offer before and after the school day. Sport England has committed up to £194 million of investment into children and young people over the next four years, which includes the Families Fund: up to £40 million invested in projects that offer new opportunities for families with children to be active together. Sport England will also provide specialist training to at least two teachers in every secondary school in England by 2020, and will invest £28m into Satellite Clubs between 2017-2021.</p><p> </p><p>DCMS are working closely with the Department for Education and the Department of Health and Social Care on a new School Sport and Activity Action plan, which will be published in Spring 2019. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 30/11/2018 answer text <p>According to the Health Survey for England, in 2015 22% of children (23% of boys and 20% of girls) aged 5-15 met the physical activity guidelines of being at least moderately active for at least 60 minutes every day. This is higher than in 2012, when 21% of boys and 16% of girls met the guidelines. However this excludes school-based activities and active travel. Government departments including DCMS, DfE and DHSC have worked with Sport England to develop the new Active Lives: Children and Young People survey. This survey launched in schools in September 2017 and will measure in much more detail how children and young people engage in sport and physical activity, and how many are meeting the Chief Medical Officer's guidelines, both in and out of school. The Government will publish it’s response to the Review in due course.</p><p> </p><p>As the National Citizen Service is aimed at 16-17 year olds, the majority of participants are recruited via their schools or colleges. The NCS Trust aims to develop partnerships with employers so that employees can support NCS. The 2016 National Youth Social Action Survey showed that young people who had participated in social action in the past 12 months had stronger personal networks and higher life satisfaction than those who have never done any social action. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 21/05/2018 answer text <p>Historic England and Heritage Lottery Fund support coalfield communities by conserving and protecting key industrial heritage sites, their associated settlements and community buildings which provide a strong sense of place and community identity, supporting the economic and social regeneration of coalfield communities through heritage regeneration.</p><p> </p><p>Between April 2012 and March 2017, Heritage Lottery Fund awarded £285.3m to 1,302 projects in coalfield community areas within the UK. answer	answer is ministerial correction date of answer 01/06/2018 answer text <p>Following the publication of the Government response to the Internet Safety Strategy Green Paper on 20 May, DCMS and Home Office will jointly work on a White Paper with other government departments, to be published later this year. This will set out legislation to be brought forward that tackles a range of both legal and illegal harms, from cyberbullying to online child sexual exploitation. The Government will continue to collaborate closely with industry on this work, to ensure it builds on progress already made.</p><p> </p><p>As the Prime Minister said in her speech at Davos on 25 January, we are looking at the legal liability that social media companies have for the illegal content shared on their sites.
