answer text <p>We made a Manifesto commitment to improve the quality of evidence within Government about the types of barriers people face.</p><p>To deliver that promise, in December, The Secretary of State for Women and Equalities launched the Government’s equality data programme. That programme will consider socio-economic background and geography alongside factors such as sex, ethnicity and sexual orientation to enable us to understand where individuals are being held back across the UK.</p><p>The project aims to publish its first outputs in Summer 2021. The evidence from this inquiry will support the development of policy across Government to make the UK a fairer place to live and do business.</p> more like this
