answer text <p>We have worked with both the estate agency sector and Public Health England to develop our guidance and make sure that agents are operating in a COVID-secure way, as such businesses are required to do in order to remain open. Throughout the pandemic, the Government has listened carefully to the views of the scientific community, the information from the Scientific Advisory Group for Emergencies (SAGE) and its sub-groups when taking decisions on the best way to tackle the pandemic.</p> more like this

answer text <p>This Government is committed to tackling homelessness and fully enforcing the Homelessness Reduction Act.</p><p>In 2020/21 we are providing over £700 million to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping alone.</p><p>In April 2020 we increased the Local Housing Allowance rates for Universal Credit and Housing Benefit claimants so that they are set at the 30th percentile of market rents.  This is an important policy that will benefit 1.5 million people and the average claimant will gain an additional £600 per year in increased housing support. Next year these rates will be maintained at their increased level.</p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>The UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF) will help to level up and create opportunity across the UK for places most in need, such as ex-industrial areas, deprived towns and rural and coastal communities, and for people who face labour market barriers.</p><p>In addition, to help local areas prepare over 2021/22 for the introduction of the UKSPF, we will provide additional UK funding to support our communities to pilot programmes and new approaches.</p><p>The November 2020 Spending Review set out the main strategic elements of the UKSPF in the Heads of Terms.  The Government will publish a UK-wide investment framework in Spring 2021 and confirm multi-year funding profiles at the next Spending Review. answer text <p>The Government has been engaging with key stakeholders on the design and priorities of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund since 2016, including holding a series of engagement events.  Over 500 stakeholders attended these events across a variety of sectors, including businesses, public bodies (such as Local Enterprise Partnerships, Mayoral Combined Authorities, and local councils), higher education institutions, the voluntary and charity sector and rural partnership groups.</p><p>Our engagement events have taken place across the UK including in England, Scotland, Northern Ireland and Wales. We will continue to work closely with interested parties as we develop the fund.</p><p> </p><p> </p> more like this

answer text <p>We have taken unprecedented steps to protect rough sleepers during the pandemic. The SR announced a £4 billion Levelling Up Fund that will invest in local infrastructure that has a visible impact on people and their communities.</p><p>To help local areas prepare for the introduction of the UKSPF, we will provide an additional £220 million in 20/21 for communities to pilot programmes and new approaches, with total domestic UK-wide funding being ramped up to at least match EU receipts, reaching around £1.5 billion a year</p><p>In the Hon Member's region, the West Yorkshire devolution deal will bring close to £3 billion public and private sector investment into the region, creating 26,000 jobs and adding £2.1 billion a year to the economy by 2031.</p> more like this
