answer text <p>Further to my response to UIN 160359 of 4 July 2018 stated that since 2010 the Home Office had paid £12,360 in ex-gratia payments in relation to 8 cases where compliant environment measures had been applied.</p><p>Home Office records indicate that since 2010 there have been no payments for damages relating to compliant environment measures.</p> more like this

answer text <p>In most instances, a single caseworker will consider an individual’s application and correspond with that applicant as appropriate in order to make a decision. However, on occasion an application may be considered by a different caseworker, for example due to absence. In addition, and to provide excellent customer service, the department has correspondence teams who can respond to case specific enquiries from applicants, and MP account manager teams who can provide a similar service for members. This aids in the effective operation and efficiency of the department.</p> more like this

answer text <p>The Home Office and the National Crime Agency have initiated a SARs Reform Programme to deliver end-to-end improvements to the SARs regime. This will include improving the quality of SARs reporting, addressing concerns of defensive-reporting and under-reporting, enhancing the capabilities of the UK Financial Intelligence Unit, and increasing the use, exploitation and analysis of SARs by law enforcement bodies. The regulated sector have been extensively consulted and engaged in the design of the Reform Programme.</p><p>In addition, the Home Office’s ‘Flag It Up’ campaign works with the National Crime Agency and regulatory bodies in relevant professional sectors to drive engagement with best practice guidance on SARs reporting, and prevent potential involvement with money laundering activities. The NCA also engage on a regular basis with the regulated sector through the SARs Regime Committee.</p> more like this

answer text <p>Asylum Intake &amp; Casework are responsible for considering asylum claims and are responsible for considering claims from those in detention through the Detained Asylum Casework (DAC) process. This is separate from the work of the Immigration Removal Centres. The Government believes that the process provides claimants with the necessary time and opportunity to enable their applications to be justly decided. The DAC unit is adequately resourced and funded to do this work and all DAC claimants are entitled to free legal representation through the Duty scheme operated by the Legal Aid Authority.</p> more like this
