As part of the NCA, the CEOP Command is able to draw on the whole of the NCA's resources. The NCA works as a flexible organisation and as such there will be NCA officers whose work covers a range of serious and organised crime threats.</p><p> </p><p>In total the NCA has 1,900 officers who currently hold arrest powers who can be called upon to tackle child exploitation. Border Systems now assumes responsibility for the Warnings Index and <br>the wider Border Force portfolio of technology projects. Border Systems will <br>build on the foundations of the e-Borders programme, strengthening even further <br>our border security.<br><br>The procurement approach to replacing the primary border security elements of <br>the Border Systems Programme will reflect broader Government ICT and Commercial <br>strategy, and there will be no single, large supplier. Of this number, 75 have been referred on to the relevant police force. At the request of <br>the Home Office and other migration statistics users, the ONS has improved its <br>methodology with an aim to identify emigrants who had originally arrived as <br>students. This has assisted in assessing the contribution of students to <br>overall net migration. It is estimated that 49,000 non-EU migrants, who had <br>previously immigrated for study, had emigrated from the UK in the year ending <br>September 2013. <br><br>HM Government has made a commitment to reintroduce exit checks. By 2015, we <br>will have checks in place on those who leave the UK by scheduled international <br>air, sea and rail services. Assisted Voluntary Return is only available to non-EEA nationals <br>and the support is not dependent upon whether the individual has arrived from <br>inside or outside the EU.<br><br>The figures provided are sourced from a Home Office management information <br>system which is not quality assured under National Statistics protocols and is <br>subject to change due to internal data quality checking.
